WCAT Radio Platform Fundraiser 2023

WCAT Radio, a 501(c)(3) federally-tax exempt not-for-profit organization is now breaking 100,000 downloads per year!

Because of its steady growth in listenership, the station was upgraded in February of 2021 to the highest platform level on Spreaker.com at a 50% promotional discount of $60 per month for the first year.

In February of 2022, the promotional period ended, and the cost of the Spreaker platform rose to $120 per month. Of course, that’s still a great deal! For that price, Spreaker syndicates all of our shows through the following platforms: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music/Audible, Castbox, Deezer, Podcast Addict, Podchaser, and JioSaavn.

Please consider giving to our annual fundraiser to help underwrite the cost of the platform. Every dollar you give helps popular shows like Author to Author, Catholic Mysticism, The Open Door, The Voice of Hope, and 80 more programs (yes, we have 84 unique programs on our station!) continue to be spread through our Catholic social media via popular outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, Soundcloud, and YouTube.

Concerning YouTube, every show ends up on YouTube in its audio format, but WCAT TV has been able to post many of our shows as videos - 511 to date, to be exact. Show hosts who film via Zoom or in some other way have seen their faces shine on the silver screen and attracted a following - about 1,300 views per month. At the current growth rate in YouTube viewing, we’ll break 20,000 views a year this year.
