I'm in a financial bind. I'm on social security, and the casting on my car's transmission suddenly broke. I'm looking for the most cost-effective method of getting it repaired, but I don't have the funds to pay for the repairs myself.

I keep my car in great condition, the engine is strong, I'm faithful in changing my oil regularly. This just happened suddenly out of the blue. The aluminum casting on the transmission is all one piece, and that's what is cracked. It can't be welded or repaired, so I need a new (used ) transmission installed.

This crisis is testing my patience, but I am focused on finding a way through this, hopefully with your help.
