My name is Brian Janishefski, and I am a member of the Iron Wolves Patrol in Boy Scout Troop 828 in Lutherville, Maryland. I am currently a senior at Calvert Hall High School and I am coming up on the end of my scouting journey and am about to start my Eagle Project.
My Eagle project will be to completely refurbish a room at Immaculate Conception School in Towson that has been used as a storage area since the neighboring Towson Catholic High School closed in 2009. My project will benefit ICS because it will function as an alumni room for former Towson Catholic High School students who return to see their old memorabilia. It will also function as a new space to use for announcing basketball games an other sporting events, since the room overlooks the old Towson Catholic Gym which is now used by Immaculate Conception.
To provide more details, I will be removing all items in the room, cleaning and removing all the dust and dirt from all the old trophies, cleaning and repainting the room, adding shelving so that all the trophies can be displayed properly and finally organizing and providing a space for the alumni of the former Towson Catholic High School to come and see their memorabilia.
My goal is to collect $1000 to partially cover the cost of all the materials and supplies that will be needed for the project. Any money collected over and above the $1000 will be used to purchase an additional trophy case or given back to ICS so that they can make any additional updates that are needed for this new Alumni room.
