Emergency Vet Bills For Chloe

Donation protected
I am not one to typically ask for hand outs but my sweet pup has come into a lot of unexpected medical expenses. I applied for care credit as many have suggested but did not get the amount she needs for all her treatment.

Chloe is a 7 year old havanese poodle mix old and came into my life less than a month after my mom passed away. She literally helped me through the grieving process and still does to this day.

She has been my BFF since day 1 and goes everywhere I go. She loves her family, pet siblings, and anyone she meets. Even people who are not dog/animal people have said they love her! She is literally the best baby dog ever.

On Sept 20th She started yelping in pain and I could not figure out where the root of her pain was. I called my local vet and was able to get her a same day appointment l. The vet examined her and said it was disc pain in her neck and put her on cage rest and pain meds...

3 days later her eye looked awful. There was a red spot bulging from it. We went back to our local vet and she said there was an infection and lots of pressure in her eye. They cleaned the area but said there isn't much they can do and she would need to see a specialist. We left there with special dog food and 4 more prescriptions.

On Monday September 26th things took a turn for the worse. While giving her her oral antibiotic the side of her head ruptured! We immediately went to the vet and she said that the pressure from the infection cause the weakest spot on her head to burst open.

The vet cleaned up the area and we were told to keep it clean and follow up with the doggy ophthalmologist on 9/27.

This was not a cheap visit. The diagnostic testing alone was 5200. That covers exam, blood work, and CT scan.

After her visit We are fortunate it is not her eye or tumor or cancer or anything like that. After her CT and exam It turns out her back molar was impacted and infected and the infection had no place to go so then it kind of went up into her head behind her eye and that's what burst out of the side of her head. The vet said there were avtually 3 holes on her head from the rupture so she sutured those shut. She also put a drain in chloes eye to help the infection finish draining and sutured her eye shut since it is not able to close on her own. Lastly, The vet said she also has dry eye from everything going on.

So now she has eye drops for her right eye twice, A-day medicated eye drop for her left eye 3 times A-day, she's on an oral antibiotic twice A-day plus an oral pain medication. There are also 2 medicated creams she has to use.

She has to go back in a week to have the stitches taken out and the drain removed and then once she heals she'll have to have dental surgery to clean her teeth and take out that back rotten tooth...

I'm am so thankful we will be able to get her back to her old self

If you read this far thank you! If you are able to donate anything at all it would mean the world to us and chloe.
