My dad was diagnosed in February of 2015 with prostate cancer. Our original plan was for him to go to Loma Linda Universty to undergo a treatment called Proton Therapy that he had heard about from some family friends rather than the surgery to remove it. My dad, mom and sister left for California in October 2015 leaving me and my two younger brothers at home and were gone until January 2016. However, he did not receive any treatment while he was there. The communication between the different departments was not adequate and my dad was told to just go home and not waste his time any longer. So my parents and sister packed up and drove home that day. Since January 2016 my dad has been going to several different appointments with his doctor and was referred to a Portland hospital for some more testing and to ultimately end up just having it removed but recently we just found out that the cancer has spread to his bladder and possibly to one of his kidneys. I know anything donated will help out my family immensely. We're a family of six living in a house that's in the middle of a remodel and that we can barely afford anymore and 4 pets that still need taken care of. Please share this page. Thank you.
