My Service Learning Trip!

Hello Everyone!
My name is Savannah Vance and I am a student at Grand Valley State University. I plan to earn my degree in Allied Health Science with an emphasis in speech-language pathology. What is that, you might ask? Well, in simple terms, I help people who want to learn to communicate! I have learned various therapeutic techniques that involve swallowing, feeding, breathing, voice, articulation, and phonology that help people with communication disorders learn to communicate effectively.
I am asking for your assistance because I have recently decided to go to Chile! I am raising this money because I want to travel the world, not just for personal benefits but for professional ones, as well. I will be volunteering at a Center for Malnourished Infants or a Children's Rehabilitation Center in Valparaiso, Chile. There, I will care and interact with children who need rehabilitation in tasks such as eating, playing, and getting dressed as well as help them to learn to socialize and communicate.
If any one can help me raise money for this trip, I will be eternally grateful! I hope to learn about new cultures and how they view health care and communication disorders. Most importantly, I hope to become a more well-rounded and global citizen :) I know that going abroad will educate me in ways that I could never even begin to imagine.
The smallest donations would do wonders! I want to thank any one who even considers donating because just know that I plan to change the world, no matter how small my impact may be.
I will be needing any sort of donation by May 2016 because I will be leaving in June.
