On July 18th, 2020, Sarah Stewart, our beloved mother, grandmother, healer, and friend, transitioned to the next phase of her journey. She requested that her remains be returned to the earth, naturally, and in a place of beauty where friends, family, and loved ones can visit and commune with her spirit.

The spot on the left is the one chosen for Sarah. 

We found such a place in Fernwood (www.fernwood.com), one of the nation’s first and only certified green cemeteries, which is also a wildlife preserve. Located in Marin County, only 45-minutes from her former home in Sonoma, the site features a picturesque view of Mt. Tamalpais and the Bay. It’s a peaceful, spiritually-nourishing setting.

Although Sarah did leave some funds to help with the expense of laying her body to rest, we are asking those whom she healed and loved to help with a donation. Your gift will ensure that Sarah’s earthly remains are interred in the manner she requested, in a place of peace and positive spiritual energy.

The money raised will be used by Sarah's daughter and grandaughter to pay for:

Burial Plot and Related Services   $23,100
Endowment Care & Service Fee      $5,060 

There will be additional fees. If total donations exceed the needs of the memorial, the extra will be donated to the  Safari West Wildlife Foundation (https://www.safariwestwildlifefoundation.org) and the Elephants of Africa Rescue Society (https://www.elephantears.org)  in Sarah's memory.
