When I say that this little boy has survived the scariest time of our lives it is an understatement. He’s been in the hospital since September 6 after suffering two stomach aneurysms that burst. The first night was the scariest he coded three times, and thank the Lord God brought him back each time. He suffered a brain injury that caused him to stop talking and not having full control of his left side. Praise God that he is talking again after speech therapy and he’s gaining mobility in his left side through physical and occupational therapy. We are not quite at the end of the road, as he is not able to bear any weight on his right foot because it has turned in so much and will require a surgery before going home. I have watched my son and daughter-in-law worry and cry and tirelessly spend every available moment at the hospital with Drew. They have been swapping out the days and nights with each other while they both continue to work full-time jobs as well as taking care of Autum and making sure that she gets back-and-forth from preschool every day. They have been through so much. Drew will be released from the hospital in a wheelchair in a few weeks and we don’t know how long he will need to be in one. at their home so they can safely get Drew in and out of the house to go to his medical appointments. The cost for three months rental set up and take down is right around $2100.
