Wayne’s Family Needs Our Help with His Funeral

I hope this reaches as many people as possible, but I especially hope this touches the gaming community. The world is one angel shorter. We’ve lost a good soul…a friendly spirit. Our friend Wayne was known as Sheriff Oshae in the Meta VR World and our gaming community is at a loss. Even though we play in virtual reality, the people behind the avatars are very real and forge very real bonds and friendships. I was one of the fortunate ones that got to know him outside of the virtual world.
Wayne was special to me. He became my closest friend on meta. He introduced me to so many places, and with that came so many people. We all jump on and off and play games with each other at least 5-10 times a day. We are a whole congregation of VR folk. A whole community. Our whole group was planning to go to Vegas to meet...where "Oshae" was.
I just recently learned from his family about his real life struggle... his fight. He was on dialysis for 27 yrs. He was only 56 years young. He was resilient. He wasn't supposed to live nowhere near as long as he did. He had a real fighting spirit. That man was built Ford tough. He had such a kindred spirit. How can you be silly and no nonsense at the same time? You can't, but Oshae could. One of our members touched my heart when she described him as a whole experience. That, he was. That, he will forever be…in our hearts.

We decided to take up donations to send a floral arrangement to his funeral. We ended up raising about $250 from the people he played with on a daily basis. As I told his mother about the donations for flowers, she then relinquished the fact that he had recently lost his job due to his declining health. After losing his job, he also lost his ability to maintain his life insurance premiums. His family is in desperate need of some help with his eternal resting place. He touched so many people in the gaming community. And though most of the people that donated have never met him in real life, we are crying real tears with his real family and friends because of our daily interactions that have spanned over a few years. I'm asking for help to raise money so that he can be put to rest for his eternal slumber. Donations will go towards his casket, burial, and funeral service. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your time and consideration. God bless you.
