Wayne's Fight: Critical Care and Healing

On behalf of my family, and with great sadness— our stepfather, Wayne Cyr, was involved in a tragic accident this week, and our family was struck with the unimaginable. We are creating this GoFundMe for them because they could really use some help right now!

Our mom, Renee, and Wayne would give the shirt off their backs for anyone in need! Because they wouldn't ask for help (even though we all need a little help sometimes), my family and I are asking you for help for them because of how severe this is and how difficult it truly will be for them financially.

Everyone who knows or has known Wayne loves him! He's one of those people who lights up the room with his humor, down-to-earth personality, and always looking for the good in everyone and everything. Wayne was involved in a tragic accident, being pinned and crushed between two tractor-trailer trucks, therefore suffering life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to Maine Medical Center and is currently in critical condition and will remain in the critical care unit for an extended period of time. Wayne suffered internal bleeding, two fractured shoulder blades, fractured clavicle, both lungs collapsed, broken and collapsed ribcage, as well as a ruptured spleen. His lungs are severely damaged, and he is extremely sick; unable to breathe on his own.

Wayne has an extremely long and difficult road to recovery ahead and will be out of work for a very long while. He will also need long-term rehabilitation. Doctors say it is going to be extremely difficult for quite some time.
