Help Wayne in his fight against cancer
Wayne Thomas is a husband, father of 2, son, brother and dear friend to many. After an infection that was treated 4 times with antibiotics, he went for a CT scan which showed a mass on his colon and it fused to his bladder which formed a hole between the two. At 47 years old, Wayne was diagnosed with colon cancer.
On March 20th, he underwent surgery where they removed a softball sized tumor off of his colon. His bladder was so damaged that they had to remove it, and Wayne will now have a urostomy bag for the rest of his life. Due to the damage of his colon, he will have a colostomy bag as well. He has a long road to recovery, and he will be starting chemo and radiation in about 6-8 weeks once his body heals from surgery.
If you know Wayne, you know that he is so much fun to be around. He’s always joking, and can put a smile on anyone’s face. He is the first person to help out another, and despite going through what he’s going through, he will still try to put others before himself.
His wife, Aimee, has been off of work to be by her husbands side. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and will allow their family to focus on what truly matters, being there for Wayne as he fights this disease. If you’re unable to donate, please share! And most importantly, please send your prayers for Wayne.
