*** UPDATE Nov 1 2024 ***
On behalf Jen, Sara and myself we just want to thank our family, friends and colleagues that have reached out over the last 14 days.
In the blink of an eye things have changed in our lives. Dad has broken his neck and has been diagnosed as a C5 quadriplegic.
We are blessed that he can breathe on his own and has significant mobility in his shoulders. This is very promising and should hopefully allow him to feed himself and drive a motorized wheelchair in the future. His neck has been fused from C2 to T2, which will limit all of his mobility up and down however, he does have a little bit of mobility to move his head left and right.
Thankfully the injury did not hurt his brain.
He is tough as nails and is recovering well at RUH and looking forward to physio to try to regain whatever mobility his body will allow.
The out pouring of comments have been very healing. All the offers of support and concern for my Dad have been nothing but remarkable and extremely healing for our family. All of your support is appreciated ❤️
Much love, Sean, Sara & Jen

Wayne Wilson is a long standing member of the real estate community in Saskatoon. An avid golfer and long-time supporter of any activity his grandchildren take part in.
This past weekend Wayne had a life-altering fall. Thankfully, he is still with us, but, he has sustained some very serious injuries and will be looking at adjusting to a new normal in the coming months.
Not only does this put a heavy burden on Wayne, his best buddy Syd, but also his kids (Sean, Jen and Sara) and their families as they help their pops adjust.
These coming months will see some significant adjustments and costs including new living arrangements, care, mobility equipment, physio and more.
Were not quite sure of the costs of this new normal yet, so this goal may adjust in the coming months, but for now we would like to assist the Wilson's in costs that have started to build up and anticipate the costs of Wayne's new living situation.
Anything helps, as do thoughts and prayers for Wayne's recovery on this lengthy journey. Thank you for staying by Wayne's side as he recovers.
