Our best mate Wayne was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 2 Brain Cancer in November last year, undergoing major brain surgery which removed around half of his large tumour. He is about to start 6 weeks of daily radiation therapy followed by 12-18 months of chemotherapy.

Anyone who knows Wayne will know that he is an incredibly positive, all-round nice guy and he & his wife Tez are doing their best to stay strong during this very challenging time. One of the many frustrating impacts of the cancer is that it is causing occasional seizures and Wayne is not able to drive for a minimum of 12 months. Aside from taking away his independence, this also means that Wayne can’t do his job even in the periods that he might feel well enough.

We are raising money to buy Wayne an e-bike to enable him to get out of the house and be able to get around the area without always having to rely on someone else. Three months in, this loss of independence has already been very challenging for Wayne and his family. An e-bike will also allow him to take his kids to activities, easing the pressure on Tez to be the sole means of transport.

All additional funds will go towards medical expenses.
