Justice for Wayne Smith Jr.
Wayne Smith Jr. 06/20/1983-02-
Wayne Smith, Jr. was a kind, loving,
respectable young man. He was the eldest son of Deidra and Wayne Smith, Sr. and the father of four beautiful children.
On February, 2,
2021, Wayne, Jr.’s life suddenly and tragically ended when he was pursued by Polk County(NC) Sheriff’s Office crossing over into South
Carolina resulting in an alleged fatal crash.
However the family’s questions and concerns along with evidence obtained reveal many
discrepancies and inconsistencies in the
written and verbal communications from
these agencies involved, i.e. Polk County
Sheriff’s Office, SC
Highway Patrol, SC Sheriff’s
Department, SC Coroner’s Office has fallen
on deaf ears.
This evidence leads the Smith family to
believe that Wayne, Jr. death was not the
result of the alleged fatal car wreck. Prior to
this tragedy, Wayne Jr was deemed a fit and
proper parent by the 7th Circuit Court in
Spartanburg,SC, yet he was forced to
engage in a contentious
custody battle with the maternal grandfather of his firstborn only son, who also lost his
mother 5 years ago due to suicide.
During this five and one half year period, Wayne,Jr and his family suffered
mental anguish caused by the actions
and collaborations of this toxic maternal grandparent from Florida and the South Carolina
Judicial System. Wayne, jr was forced
to appeal to the SC Supreme Court to
overturn an unfavorable ruling made
by the SC Appeals Court. Days after
Wayne, Jr. 's death, his son (Braylon)
was callously ripped away from
the Smith family and taken to Florida
by the maternal grandfather who had recently been awarded custody by the SC
Appeals Court in an unprecedented decision.
On February 4th, 2 days after Wayne jr’ s
death, the SC Supreme Court issued
the following decision:
The respondent(maternal grandfather)
has moved to expedite the proceedings.
The motion to expedite is granted.
The petition(defendant- Wayne, Jr)
for a writ of certiorari was denied.
Coincidental?? We think not.
The purpose of this Go fund Me is Justice for Wayne K. Smith, Jr and to assist the Smith
family in their ongoing legal battles
to regain custody of his only son, Braylon.
