Dear Friends and Family,
We are reaching out to ask for your support for someone who has spent his life on the road — not for recognition or riches, but to provide for his family and keep this country moving, and now it’s our turn to be there for his family.
Wayne has been a professional truck driver for nearly 40 years. Rain or shine, holidays or weekends, he’s been behind the wheel — transporting loads, meeting deadlines, and doing it all with dedication and heart. He’s the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and never ask for a thing in return. Wayne has been an incredible member of our team and our extended Betts family, always working his hardest and always up for a yarn, he will be so greatly missed.
Wayne has been fighting his cancer for many years now and throughout he never stopped driving except for appointments and treatments which is testament to Wayne’s positive attitude for life and the industry in which he loved and which his life revolved around. He even voluntarily tried experimental treatments often saying he is happy to be the guinea pig so that hopefully others won’t have to go through what he’s been through. 5 weeks ago Wayne got the devastating news that his battle was coming to an end as the cancer was too aggressive and he had to park up his truck. Wayne lost his battle on the 26/09/25 surrounded by his loving family.
Many people have asked us how they can support Wayne's family through this unimaginable loss and so we started this Go Fund Me Page. The Marshall family are facing not only grief but also additional financial burdens—including funeral expenses and loss of income. We are asking for your help to raise money to ease some of the financial strain during this difficult time.
With thanks the Betts Transport Family
