Wayne Lavelle passed away suddenly 29th December 2025 on the Sunshine Coast.

Wayne has dedicated the last 10 years of his life to transporting animals, many of these from deathrow all over Australia to rescues in Queensland.

Wayne would sleep in his car with the dogs and cats and get up in the morning and do it again, and again, and again.

Yesterday Wayne’s heart gave out, he passed away after a series of heart attacks from which he didn’t survive.

Wayne died as he lived, on the limit, with nothing for himself. No bank balance to cover his cremation, no family to take him home.

In death he goes as he did in life, with the shirt on his back and not a lot more.

This go fund me is to cremate Wayne, to give him a memorial service where those who loved and respected him can say farewell.

Service date and place to be advised

If any surplus money is raised in will donated in his honour to Soquillici Rescue Ranch , which was Wayne base and heart for 11 years
