Wayne Holtz was a pop star, artist, and local legend in San Antonio. His music, humor, and passion brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to everyone he met. A beloved friend and creative force, he touched countless lives. Wayne passed suddenly on October 25, 2025, while visiting friends in Los Angeles at just 35, leaving a profound void in our community.
We are raising funds to help Wayne’s family cover expenses for his passing and his Celebration of Life to be held at Brick Blue Star on November 22, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Remaining funds will support the Thrive Youth Center, which helps LGBTQ+ young adults experiencing homelessness—a cause close to Wayne’s heart. Your donation will honor his magical legacy with a night of music, color, and love while bringing comfort to his family during this heartbreaking time.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Wayne was drawn to the arts from an early age. In his twenties, he became a fixture in the city’s nightlife. He was a performer, musician, DJ, karaoke host, photographer, drawing artist, model, podcast host, public figure, community organizer—and many more roles that showcased his endless drive for creative expression. His albums Post-Plexi and Evility, his single La Botanica Love, and The Wayne Holtz Podcast reflect his homegrown indie spirit and love for celebrating other artists.
Last year, Wayne moved to Lake Saranac, New York, to live near his cousin Alex, her husband Sam, and his beloved nephews. He quickly became treasured by the entire community, performing, hosting karaoke, and bringing people together with his warmth, humor, and boundless energy.
Wayne’s spirit lives on in the music, photos, drawings, and lives he touched. Please donate today to celebrate Wayne’s life and support his family during this difficult time.
