Hi, my name is Christina Wietrzykowski. I'm Wayne Gasparro's oldest daughter. My dad passed away from COVID/Pneumonia, October 24th, 2021 at Trinity West Hospital. His funeral was October 29th, 2021.
Most of you know the details of this story or the general summary. If you want more details, please let me know. I'm not sure I can get myself to type it all up at the moment. We miss and love my dad soo much! He would do anything for anyone and that is one good trait I believe me and my siblings all inherited.
My dads funeral costs have all been covered, Praise God! But, we still need to purchase the granite under his Army plaque. According to the cemetery the granite is required in order for them to place the Army plaque provided by the VA. The vase is an optional item, but we think it would be nice for Wayne's children and grandchildren to put flowers in the vase at his grave.
The granite only cost according to the cemetery would be: $608.28
The granite plus the vase would be: $2,002.45
- I don't believe this includes taxes, but I could be wrong. I added a few hundred to the fundraiser goal amount to cover any extra taxes or fees. If there happens to be more donated, it'll go towards any bills that come in for my dad.
They did share with me prices would be going up soon, but they aren't sure when. Once paid in full, they can order it and it would be up before Memorial Day.
After fundraiser is complete, the funds will go directly to the cemetery where my dad is buried to cover the costs for the granite/vase. We appreciate any and all donations for his Memorial granite and vase.
