On Sunday, June 4th the Doucette family lost their loving father and husband, Wayne Doucette, unexpectedly.
Being a lifelong resident of Fishers Island, Wayne was a community member that everyone could depend on. With a lifetime dedication to Fishers Island, Wayne was a Fishers Island Alumni and a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years, holding the position as chief for a period of time. He was also a reliable community member that everyone knew they could call on if they were in a bind. Whether you were stopping in at the utility company, fire station or at a community event you were guaranteed to see the friendly faces of Wayne and his family.
We are looking to raise $30,000 for Jamie, Wayne's wife, to help her through these difficult times. The money will be used to help his family with a funeral and memorial for Wayne. It will also help Jamie to pay off any expenses she may have and hopefully set some money aside for her daughters college fund as needed.
