Wayne and Wendy Merritt

Hello, my name is Ann Merritt and here is a photo of me with my beautiful family, minus our two newest members. They are still in intensive care at the hospital. Unfortunately, I was only at 27 weeks of pregnancy when my water broke and these sweet innocent babies had to be delivered via c-section. They each weighed only 2 pounds and 1 ounce each. SO TINY and so precious. They were born February 21 and as I write this, March 21, they are doing great! They are developing on schedule and gaining weight. Wayne is up to 2 pounds 12oz and Wendy is 2 pounds 10oz! 

We have a ways to go and the hope is they get to come home mid May around their actual due date. Until then, they remain in the hospital in intensive care. These months of care in the nicu and the expenses are only the beginning of my worries. Needing double the baby items, the diapers, the baby paraphernalia is another. Our car will no longer hold our whole family and I’m concerned about my hourly job. My employers are supportive, but I don’t see how can I keep my hours up, visiting the babies in the hospital everyday and keeping up with the daily demands of my family. Your donations will help us through all of this. This is so hard for me to ask for help! My husband and I are very hard working people but I realize we desperately need help to get us through this bump in the road. We appreciate all the love and support from near and far; we certainly feel loved and cared for. We are looking forward for them to keep growing so we can bring them home.
