As some of you may already know, Rendell has been in the hospital battling pneumonia for several weeks. As with any hospital stay, there have been multiple complications keeping him hospitalized longer than expected. What they initially thought would be an overnight stay has since turned into three weeks of hospitalization, including time in the ICU. The doctors are optimistic that he will be released soon however he will still have a long recovery.
The average hospital stay costs over $4,000 per day. That cost does not include specialists, surgery, or a stay in the ICU. We are estimating that the medical bills themselves will be over $100,000. Without insurance to cover the bulk of these medical costs, they will soon start seeing these bills stacking up. In addition to the medical bills, Wayne and Rendell have not been able to work and their income has been diminished. There are also those pesky expenses of parking, eating out, medications, etc. We all know how stressful medical bills can be and I hope we can help them shoulder this burden.
For anyone who personally knows Wayne and Rendell, you know that they are always the ones helping others; never seeking out help for themselves. I will ask on their behalf for donations to help them with all of their expenses. Rendell and Wayne should be able to focus their energy on healing, rather than medical expenses.
If you are unable to donate, please keep both Rendell and Wayne in your thoughts, prayers, and heart.
