Hi! My name is Joe Uldrych and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my co-worker who is in
desperate need of your help. His name is Wayne Abraham and he has been diagnosed with
metastatic prostate cancer. Wayne is a quiet and somewhat private man who is very reluctant
to ask for help but he did make me aware of his dire situation and as fellow travelers on this
planet, I am reaching out to all of you in the hope that you will join me in offering Wayne and his
family a helping hand.
Wayne has continued to work despite his illness and pain, but he has reached the point where
the cost of the scans and other tests ordered by his doctor, as well as the numerous
medications he should be taking, exceed what his health insurance will cover. These tests and
prescriptions cost thousands of dollars that Wayne and his wife do not have. This has resulted
in the cancellation of these tests and prescriptions and in Wayne’s cancer having an opportunity
to advance and spread. To me, it is unthinkable that someone may lose their life only because
they lack the financial resources to pay for the required treatment, testing and medication and
it’s my belief that there are others who feel the same way.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to cover the cost of all tests, medications, any treatment not fully
covered by Wayne’s remaining health insurance, medical-related travel, e.g., gas, parking, etc.
(An MRI can cost as much as $3500 and other scans, tests and prescriptions can also
run into the thousands of dollars cumulatively). I, like many of you, am far from wealthy, but
I have been blessed with the good health that enables me to care for my family. I am hoping
that those of us similarly fortunate will view Wayne’s situation as an opportunity reach out and
make a tremendous (life-saving) difference in this man’s life and in the lives of his loved ones. I
want to thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
