Waylon's Unexpected Hospital Trip

Waylon Ryan Guy made his entrance into the world on 12/21/22 at 8lbs 12oz! A happy boy that is so loved by many!

He has had some problems not gaining weight since being home. On January 9, Waylon's pediatrician decided to admit him to the hospital in Huntley for monitoring.

Monday night they put a feeding tube in because he was being finicky with his eating. Since then, he’s gotten much better with taking the bottles and is eating better, but decided to rip his own feeding tube out on Wednesday. He has had so many tests done that have come back normal.

However, today the doctors said they noticed something with his pituitary gland and have decided to transfer him to Chicago Children's Hospital for further scans and testing. At this point, there is no discharge date.

Ryan and Tara will be facing some steep hospital bills, long drives to the city, and time away from home to be with their baby boy. This gofundme has been created to help with easing that portion of this stressful and unexpected situation.

From Tara's facebook page: "It is so hard to see my little boy connected to so many wires and look so incredibly uncomfortable. I also have no voice so I can’t even talk to my baby to soothe him or just tell him how handsome he is. He is doing so well considering all of the poking, prodding, and tests he has undergone. All of the nurses are incredible with him. I am hoping we get some answers soon so we can go home and be with daddy and the dogs who I am sure miss him terribly."
