Hi everyone,
On March 13th, Waylon our 2 year old son, was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma. After testing we had a good game plan of treatment for Waylon. On March 19th, that plan suddenly changed. Waylon was in a lot of pain, and after rushing him to the hospital, we had to make the choice to have his eye removed for his own safety. We were hopeful that with the removal of his eye that we would have a good chance of not having to go through chemotherapy. However, that is not the case. We will be starting chemotherapy this upcoming week, for 6 months to achieve remission of this cancer.
This has created a hardship as we are currently not working. (We are very lucky with the companies that we work for that they are working with us every step of the way.) As can be expected, there is a lot of inhouse care with a 2 year old, and he can not be around many people with the upcoming chemotherapy due to his immune system going away entirely.
Any help is appreciated, and the funds would be used for medical bills and at home daily needs.
