Dear Friends, Family and Community:

My name is Phoebe Hanley. I am the proud daughter of the most wonderful man in the world, Wayde Hanley. Myself and my family are reaching out to the community that we love on behalf of my dad. Over a year ago, my dad Wayde was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney failure. This news was extremely devastating for us all especially because of his other disabilities that prevent him from being able to work and provide for his family. He is now on daily 9 hour dialysis treatments and is currently awaiting an appointment at Methodist Transplant Center in Houston. My prayer is that I or someone in our family will be a perfect match as a living donor for him. The current wait time for a cadaver kidney could be several years.

First, I ask that you continue to keep my dad and mom in your prayers for the long battle they are in and will continue to endure.

Second, I humbly ask for any financial support you can offer. Being that he is unable to work due to physical disabilities brought on from diabetes and now dialysis treatments, he is now on Medicare. Despite being on Medicare, there are already many health and prescription costs that are not covered. The transplant surgery will create continued financial hardship for them. No donation is too small and can make a significant impact.

Please help me share my dad’s story with your family, friends, social network and colleagues. The more people who know about this campaign, the greater his chances of a transplant.

After his initial appointment with Methodist Transplant Center, I will update with information regarding live donor applications if anyone feels in their heart to do so.
