WAXWING Productions Donations

WAXWING Productions is newly formed theater company and we are accepting donations to support the exciting work that we are doing. We have two upcoming events, one devised-immersive night and we are producing a musical written by a member of our team.

We have members ranging from people who worked on various elements of Sleep No More, Life & Trust and The Death Of Rasputin, and others who have made works at Columbia University and even Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Our team has a wide range of talents and interests and we want to share that with a new audience.

Any donations would be helping us secure performance and rehearsal locations and help with world-building elements such as props, scenery and costumes! Our goal is to make theatre accessible by keeping ticket cost low and have a variety of different types of performances for different communities to partake in.

Our Mission Statement:

WAXWING Productions has a commitment to creating innovative, compelling, and impactful theatre. We strive to uplift a diverse range of voices looking to share their personal artistry and to do so in the most exciting way they can conjure up.

We offer a platform to explore the full breadth of imagination for creatives who have not always been given the opportunity to do so and build them up to then provide those same opportunities to others in the future.

While our work will be primarily rooted in immersive and devised theatre, we hold a deep respect for the full spectrum of theatrical expression. From site-specific experiments to classic proscenium stages, we will explore all forms of storytelling and encourage our artists to tell their stories however they see fit.

Our ultimate goal is to offer the most honest and generous expression of who we are, create our most genuine art, and to share that with those who want to experience something exciting and vulnerable with us.

We are starting our season off with a unique night of immersive theatre, where three directors will be given three hours to direct one 15 minute immersive show each. After the three hours are up, the audience will be let into the space and watch all three performances!

We have a lot of other plans such as a series of readings/stagings from various new playwrights, improv shows, a clown performance, workshopping musical concepts, and even a full length immersive show based on [REDACTED], but all of that will come with time. We hope that you will join us on this first exciting project of ours and we appreciate any support you are able to give!
