Hi, my name is Amanda Estrada, and I’m a proud single mother asking for support to help my daughter, Nevaeh, take part in a truly life-changing opportunity.

As a single parent, I do everything I can to support her dreams, but this is something I cannot afford on my own without help.

Nevaeh has been accepted into a prestigious summer study abroad program in Lisbon, Portugal, focused on Marine Ecology and Sustainability. Through her hard work and dedication, she earned a highly competitive scholarship of $4,920.

As a first-generation future college student, this opportunity means so much more than just travel. It represents growth, education, independence, and the chance to see what is possible beyond her current environment. Experiences like this can shape her academic path, build confidence, and open doors she may not otherwise have access to.

Nevaeh is currently ranked first in her junior class with a 4.87 GPA at Fillmore High School. She took the initiative to apply, stood out among many applicants, and earned this opportunity through her commitment and determination.

While her scholarship covers a significant portion of the program, there are still $3,500 in additional expenses we need help covering. These costs include airfare, passport fees, and required program expenses not included in tuition.
