Wave Walk London to Oxford – walking for one of our own ❤️

We are the Wave Walkers, a dragon boat team made up of cancer survivors. Paddling brought us together, but friendship, strength and the belief that nobody should face cancer alone are what keep us together.

On Saturday 24 October, we are swapping our paddles for walking shoes to support a much-loved friend and fellow paddler who is living with metastatic cancer. The medication she needs isn’t available through the NHS at present, so we are raising funds to help pay for her treatment.

We will walk from our paddling home at Millwall Dock to Paddington, take the train to Radley and then continue to walk through Thames meadows, Iffley Lock and along the river to Oxford.

It will be a challenging day (around 16 miles and 7 hours of walking, with a train journey in the middle) but every step will be taken for one of our own. Every donation, however small, will help towards her treatment and show her that she is not facing this journey alone.
