Wave Maiden: A Pint for our Future

In light of recent events related to the Covid-19 crisis we have had to do something we've never done before...ask for your help. As a small family business with no investors or financial support we've been put in a very precarious position as a result of lockdown repercussions. Since the start of this crisis we have continued to pay our staff with no money coming into the business to support that practice until they were thankfully put on furlough. We have been told by our insurance company that they will not be covering any stock or loss of any kind whatsoever. We have many overheads still including but not limited to services, invoices and rent which we are trying to meet with great difficulty. The effects will be long reaching into the future with not only most of our planned 2020 public & private events cancelled but the same for citywide events which will take away our much needed tourist custom as well. The longer this continues the more detrimental the effects are becoming. We truly love being a vital part of our community but the risk to our very existence is uncomfortably real. We fear without some help we may be forced into a position of closure. We only ask that if you are someone who would normally pop in for a pint that you might perhaps get one for us now in this time of need by please donating the equivalent of what you'd normally spend on a beer. Your support will mean so much to all of us and we hope we can buy one back for you someday. Our hearts go out to all that are struggling. With thanks and appreciation, The Wave Maidens
