Waukesha South Mock Trial to Nationals
Donation protected
Dear friends, family and supporters-
After winning the State Mock Trial Championship, the Waukesha South Mock Trial Team has qualified for the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our students have worked hard all year and are excited to represent Wisconsin at the national tournament-- but we need your help!
In mock trial, students act as witnesses or attorneys in a simulated trial against participants from other schools. They put in countless hours practicing, reviewing and scrimmaging for this rigorous academic activity. Mock trial teaches students critical thinking. It requires them to look at a problem and consider different ways of attacking it. It forces them to think on their feet. It reinforces ideas of fair play and ethics. It refines public-speaking skills. It gives them confidence. These skills will take them far in life.
We have multiple, significant expenses associated with mock trial including transportation, accommodations and registration fees, both for Nationals and other competitions. Fifty-four percent of South's student population is economically disadvantaged. Your donation can make a big difference for our kids.
Our state champion team consists of three seniors, two juniors and four sophomores. Two of our coaches are South grads. We have a lot of pride in Waukesha and hope Waukesha has a lot of pride in us!
Thanks for your consideration.
