Waukesha Area Soccer Clubs United for a Cause
Donation protected
The Waukesha Parade tragedy was beyond words and still weighs heavily on our hearts. Many of us know people who were affected personally--friends, neighbors, even family. Since the tragedy, we have seen individuals and communities come together to lend a helping hand, provide a shoulder to lean on, and contribute time and money to help.
However, in our fast-paced world, our attention moves on quickly to other events, and even other disasters. We begin to go back to our lives as they were, the last adversity fading in the face of the next need. Nevertheless, even as tragedy seemingly begets tragedy, there are still existing needs and wounded lives requiring healing.
To help with the ongoing care these families will need, five area soccer clubs (Pewaukee Sussex United, SC Wave, Strike, FC, Elmbrook United, and Milwaukee Sport Club) have come together to continue to raise funds for the victims of the Waukesha Parade.
We're hoping to raise $10,000 by December 31st - all donations will go directly to the families in need.
Few tragedies have affected so many in our community as significantly as The Waukesha Parade has. Although much has been done to help the victims, the people suffering from this hardship require aid to attempt to recover from devastating losses. Together, we can be part of the help and support these families for the months and years to come.
Joe Ulm, President - Pewaukee Sussex United
Shan Amini, Executive Director of Soccer Operations - SC Wave
Brett Reich, President - Milwaukee Sport Club
Matt McGonigle, President - Strike, FC
Rich Waple, President - Elmbrook United
