Hi all, my name is Rebecca and my siblings and I (Elizabeth, Alex, and Hannah) have arranged this GoFundMe page to raise financial support for the medical expenses our mother is facing as a result of the senseless car attack which happened at the Waukesha Christmas Parade on 11/21/21.

Our mother, Lori, is the most selfless, compassionate woman we know. She was marching in the parade as a member of the Catholic Community of Waukesha when she was hit head on by the SUV. She was admitted to the surgical ICU after sustaining several life-threatening injuries, one of which required vascular surgery to repair a tear in her aorta. She is extubated, awake, and alert but is facing a long, arduous recovery process. We are so fortunate that she remains with us today, as many others tragically lost their loved ones and others witnessed horrific suffering on that day.

We have been made aware that many of her medical expenses may not be covered as the hospital she was admitted to is not within her insurance network. We plan to fight tooth and nail to ensure that finances do not become a burden to her.
