Waterside Catholic Parish, located on the edge of the picturesque New Forest National Park, encompasses the churches of St Bernard’s in Holbury and St Michael’s in Hythe.
Under the exemplary leadership of Fr Marcin and Deacon Ian, our Parish is fortunate to have an active youth group that meets regularly as a community fostering faith and camaraderie. We acknowledge that today's youth are the future cornerstone of our Parish, making it essential to support their journey of faith and friendship.
The youth group hopes to embark upon a Jubilee Year pilgrimage to Poland in July 2025, with activities in France, Germany, and Slovakia during the journey. Fr Marcin has meticulously crafted an itinerary that includes a balanced mix of religious, cultural, military, and sporting events. This exciting plan has generated significant enthusiasm among the participants for this unique opportunity.
In preparation for their pilgrimage, the youth group will also be organising workshops and educational sessions focused on the cultural and historical significance of the destinations. These sessions aim to enhance their understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and histories, thereby enriching their journey.
We invite all members of the community to support this endeavour by participating in our fundraising events, offering donations, or simply remembering the youth group in your thoughts and prayers. Together, we can help them achieve their goal and ensure this pilgrimage becomes a truly transformative experience. Thank you very much!
