The home is located in the middle of the African bush (as in there's a gate to keep lions away) in Vaalwater, Limpopo, South Africa and is home to 65+ children!
I could go on and on about the amazing things this home is doing for the children and community, but let me cut to the chase: According to the South African government, the country is in a very real and dangerous drought, with some cities reaching day zero (aka - no more water) as early as April 2018. That's two months.
The children's home has already suffered the effects of a drought -- for the past few weeks we have had to source water for simple tasks such as bathing, washing dishes, and flushing toilets. As the drought takes a toll on the community, finding water to accomplish these things - as well as water to drink - is becoming more and more difficult (in fact, we've had to go without).
THE GOOD NEWS! The mission sits on top of CLEAN water. All we need to do is drill into the ground and get it.
That's where you come in! I am raising funds to drill a borehole for the children's home, -- thus relieving the stress caused by the drought and providing water to 65+ kids, management team staff, and surrounding community.
If you're able to give anything (seriously! even a dollar!) it would be a HUGE BLESSING in getting these children and full time volunteers access to water.
