With a heavy heart, I share this news of my dear friend with you all. On Saturday, August 26, 2022, we lost our beloved sister Jamila, also known as Rachel Abraham, to domestic violence. Jamila was murdered in the home where she raised six children.
Sister Jamila did not deserve this outcome. She was an amazing, humble, and loving person. She worked tirelessly to make a life for her family, working full-time jobs and recently started a business doing henna for the community. Jamila was a talented, kind, and loveling mother in the Muslim community. Jamila left behind six beautiful daughters ranging from 2 years old to 14 years old.
She was a very generous and devoted woman; she spent her time in the obedience of Allah(G-D) and helping everyone around her, even if it was as small as a smile or a kind word.
We want to continue the Sadaqah (charity) work she did in her life as a legacy to honor her memory and make it a means of increasing her rewards and good deeds. We plan to build water wells where needed most And give charity to those in need, continuing her outstanding work. It would mean a lot to Jamila and would be her last contribution to society.
The need for water is great; we believe this is a reputable charity she would be pleased with. Please donate generously to help support this fundraiser, keep her and her children in your prayers and share this fundraiser with friends and family.
