On the last day of Ramadan in 2020, my brother, Nashid S. Al-Hadi, returned to Allah suddenly.
There are moments in life that divide everything into “before” and “after.” That day was ours.
Nashid was wise beyond his years. Highly intelligent. Thoughtful. Observant. The kind of person who could speak on almost anything and make you think deeper. He carried himself with quiet confidence and depth. He was well known, well respected, and deeply loved by so many.
His absence is felt every single day.
In his honor, we are raising at least $3,000 to build a water well in Niger, a Muslim-majority country facing severe water scarcity. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that the best charity is giving water. We pray that every sip taken, every wudu made before prayer, and every family served from this well becomes ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) for Nashid.
A source of life. A source of purification. A source of mercy.
This well will serve an entire community for years to come. Once completed, we will share photos and updates so you can see the impact you helped create.
If you are able, please consider donating and sharing. Even the smallest amount helps move us closer to our goal.
May Allah accept this on his behalf and reward everyone who contributes. Ameen!
