The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.”

(Sahih Muslim, 1631)

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, with the majority of families living on less than a few pounds a day. Many communities rely on rainwater, rivers, or long walks to collect water for drinking, cooking, washing, and prayer. Because of this extreme poverty, access to clean and safe water is a daily struggle.

This masjid will serve as a continuous charity on her behalf — a place where salah will be established, Qur'an recited, and knowledge shared. Every time someone prays within its walls, every time a child learns to recite the Qur’an, every drop of water used for wudu — your contribution will be part of the reward, and it will reach her in her grave as a mercy from Allah.

The people of Malawi are in great need. In many rural areas, Muslims gather in open spaces or under trees due to the absence of proper facilities.

By helping build a masjid, you are not only honouring our sister’s memory but also uplifting an entire community spiritually, socially, and morally.
