Water for Life – In Loving Memory of Nafisah Arshad

Yesterday 31st May 2025, we received the heartbreaking news that our dear friend Nafisah Arshad had passed away. The pain of her loss is immense, and words can’t fully express how deeply she will be missed.

I had the pleasure of studying with Nafisah in school and although time and distance came between us, we stayed in touch. She was not only intelligent and thoughtful, but also deeply kind — someone who made people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of so many around her.

In her memory, we are raising funds to provide clean water by installing water pumps around the world where they are needed most. This will be a lasting Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that continues to benefit communities for years to come.

Why Water?

Clean water is a basic human right — yet millions around the world still lack access to safe drinking water. Many walk miles every day, only to collect water from unsafe sources.

By funding water pumps in underdeveloped and water-scarce areas globally, we can help bring:

• Clean, safe drinking water

• Better health and hygiene

• Time for children to attend school

• Dignity, hope, and opportunity

Our Goal: £5,000

We are aiming to raise £5,000 to support the installation of water pumps through trusted charities including:

✅ SKT Welfare – Over 11,000 pumps installed in Pakistan and flood-affected regions

✅ Ehsaas Foundation – Serving water-scarce communities in Sindh and Balochistan

✅ Emaan Relief Charity – Providing access to clean water with full installation reports and updates

Funds will be used where the need is greatest, in Pakistan and other countries facing water scarcity, all dedicated in Nafisah’s name. Each pump will serve multiple families for years — a beautiful legacy of compassion.
