I have completed a project on the Indian water crisis, which has caused me to feel strongly about it. About 18% of the world's inhabitants are from India; however, they house only 4% of the freshwater reserves. Additionally, India's agriculture is extremely reliant on groundwater, which is running low or is an inconsistent source of water. Between the lack of governmental regulation of water practices and the implementation of proper sanitary water for over 600 million Indians, it is important that others speak and advocate for a change, which usually calls for funding.
