Hi everyone,

My name is Jennifer and I’m fundraising on behalf of a dear friend of mine — a hardworking single mom who is doing her absolute best to provide a safe and stable home for her family, but who is now facing a serious and overwhelming situation.

Her home is currently dealing with major safety and living issues. The baseboard heaters upstairs are broken, leaving her without proper heat in parts of the house. On top of that, she has experienced significant water damage in her basement, making the space unsafe and unusable. Because of the damage, the basement needs to be completely gutted, and most of what’s down there must be thrown away. This means:

Renting a dumpster to remove damaged materials and belongings

Hiring an electrician to address electrical concerns and ensure the home is safe

Making necessary repairs so the home can be livable again

Unfortunately, she simply does not have the financial means to cover these unexpected expenses on her own. Like many single parents, she lives paycheck to paycheck and has no emergency fund to fall back on.

This fundraiser is to help relieve some of that burden and allow her to:

Restore heat in her home

Safely clean out and repair the basement

Regain peace of mind knowing her home is safe for her family
