James is a paramedic and I (Heather) am a nurse and an NP student who is graduating August 2023. We both work full time and I am a full time student as well.

On Christmas Eve 2022 the sprinkler system pipes burst above James's room in our apartment resulting in thousands of gallons of ice cold water dumping on onto our belongings. Most of James's belongings are ruined/destroyed and the majority of our furniture as been destroyed. The water damage was extensive. It rained down from the ceiling in his room and flooded water into all rooms of the apartment except my bathroom/closet. We basically are just looking for monetary donations to cover expenses related to the costs we incurred at our extended stay and for the storage building. In addition, we will have to buy all new furniture including a new bed frame/mattress for James, new desks, coffee table, dining table, couch, recliner, and dressers. James needs a lot of new clothes and we both need linens and towels. Insurance is not covering any of the damage to our personal property and our apartment complex is not helping with any financial assitance.

We and our animals have been displaced to an extended stay until we can find rental properties and our reptiles are staying with friends.
