Water Bottles for My Middle School Students
Donation protected
I work at a public middle school in Florida. Due to the pandemic, their water fountains have been out of use and the school has one water refill station. As teachers, we remedy the loss of the fountains by handing out plastic cups but were informed we are no longer allowed to do so. Instead of cups, there was a decision to sell water bottles for a dollar a day.
90% of the students at my school are on free or reduced lunch, classifying it as a title 1 school. Most students cannot afford $5 a week to drink water. I have some students living out of hotel rooms and others that are classified as homeless.
I would like to raise enough money to give every single face to face student a reusable water bottle so they can drink water from the refill station.
