Water and Wastewater Industry Training And Competition SAS
Donation protected
Good day!
I am a operations challenge competitor. Operations Challenge is a professional development through competition program that has been compared to the Olympics of the water industry.
Around the world teams compete for a spot at the national competition held at WEFTEC each year.
Many of the international teams have a hard time practicing with the correct equipment because of the large income disparity.
With this in mind our team in conjunction with a few non profits have taken on the task of enabling the development of a remote training center in Cali, Colombia. This location was chosen due to the weather, accessibility and cost that will enable teams from South America to train on the proper equipment without it costing the equivalent of one years salary. The Olimpidada Sanatarias event is also held in Cali and this training equipment will be used in their event as well.
Our first shipment (a full 20' container) arrived in BuenaVentura CO on May 10th 2025 and has been held up in customs.
This has resulted in unexpected port storage fees that are too much for us to take on individually.
We request your support in helping us clear the customs fees up in order to continue with our donation.
Water and sanitation are an important aspect of our global health and safety and this endeavor furthers this objective by enhancing the training available to developing countries.
Currently there are 10 teams in Colombia. 1 in Argentina and 1 in Brazil.
With this venue we are hoping to encourage Peru, Ecuador, Guinea, Chile, Boliva and Panama to create teams and join the national stage by furthering their education and development.
The container includes a full Vaughan pump maintenance training package, a complete collection systems training package, a partial Confined space rescue package and tools to maintenance the equipment in between trainings.
