Watchtree Mini's Team

This is JB (James) he loves his balance bike, unfortunately where we live it's just not safe to let him out to practice, we live on a main road with heavy traffic, and we don't have a garden to let him practice either. Thankfully Watchtree Nature Reserve is close by a short drive and we have 205 acres of traffic-free safe space teeming with nature, to explore and practice those biking and walking skills. 

Watchtree Nature reserve is a registered charity that focuses on making nature and cycling accessible to everyone. Entry is Free, perfect for a bit of fresh air away in the countryside.  They have an award-winning cycling facility that hosts a multitude of adaptive bikes for a small hire charge making the outdoors possible and fun for those with additional needs. Additionally there newly resurfaced trails now make the whole nature reserve accessible, by foot and by wheels, perfect for walkers, prams, mobility scooters, wheelchairs bikes and more!

To give a little bit back to Watchtree during this hard time James, Willow and Rowen are taking on the 100 miles challenge. Watchtree means everything to us and we want to do all we can to help them. 

Now, this may sound like a lot for toddlers! However every Tuesday they all go to Watchtree to the Ready Steady Mums walking group and walks/bikes 2 miles. 

They are just going to do their best.. and see how many miles they complete :) Are there any other Watchtree minis that would like to join in in the challenge and join his fundraising team? How you do it is completely up to yourself, however, it must be a man-powered activity you do to achieve your miles. Just get active and track your activity as best as you can.
