WASTELAND is a documentary on sustainable fashion that will capture a runway revolution. Every year, Kenya imports over 185,000 tonnes of second-hand clothing, much of it unwearable. What can’t be sold ends up dumped, burned, or polluting rivers and land. But in the heart of Gikomba, young Kenyan creatives are flipping the script. Led by stylist Luca and Janet, they repurpose discarded clothes into bold fashion turning throwaways into identity, art, and protest.
