Dear WP Friends and Family,
First and foremost, Dave, Rich and I hope that all of you are home safe and healthy during this unprecedented tough time in our country's history.
As you know WP has closed temporarily while we weather this storm. In the meantime however, our family (our staff) is being severely impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown. We are trying to take every step possible to remain resilient.
We are creating a relief fund to help our employees affected by layoffs today. These funds will be used to help those at WP who will face significant hardship in the weeks and maybe months to come. Please find it in your heart to help our employees and help the sustainability of Washington Prime.
Please think of the times when WP has given gift certificates for your causes, helped school fundraisers, promoted your golf charity events, helped raise money for ALS, St. Jude, Cancer and more...and please reciprocate in this time of need for our employees and their families.
WP also has supported Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Weston, Wilton, Stamford and Westport in several events...we hope those communities will help our WP employees in their time of need.
Or maybe just think of the time that you felt happy at WP because you were taken care of by the most wonderful group of people we all have come to know and love...our employees.
