The Colon Hydrotherapy industry is on the verge of a shut down, again (2009 being the last time). The DOH- Department of Health is attempting to stop non-medical practitioners from providing colon hydrotherapy services.
To ensure protection, Washington State colon hydrotherapists
need to actively pursue getting the bill amended.
An estimated 70+ professionals will lose their livelihoods, many of them having practiced for 10-20 years, most (if not all) women. Some of these women are single moms raising children. Some are women in their 60's trying to support themselves. Thousands of community members around WA state will lose access to colon hydrotherapy and the cost of the sessions are estimated to increase by 100-200% more to justify a doctor providing the service.
To ensure protection, Washington colon hydrotherapists need to actively pursue getting the bill amended.
We need your financial help in order to do this! We have a great lobbyist who believes in us and has agreed to help us. He helped in 2009 and knows what needs to be done for us. THIS IS OUR ONLY CHANCE. We have good reason to be hopeful that an amendment can be achieved to keep colon hydrotherapy protected.
If we do not take action, Washington State will set a precedence for other states to follow. THIS IS URGENT. We are fighting for our rights and for yours.
