Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Services needs two new washing machines in order to keep up with the laundry demands. On any given day the least amount of animals that are housed there is around 200. That number can rise to around 300 or more. Last year more than 10,000 animals filtered through SCRAPS.

With the cats that were seized a few weeks ago we have 41 more animals than we might normally have at this time (and kitten season is right around the corner.) There are 20 loads of laundry washed, on average, per day.

Fred’s Appliances (on Monroe) has agreed to help us with the purchase of two Speed Queen washing machines.

SCRAPS needs these machines to help keep up with the laundry that is generated when taking care of those in their care.
