Wasden Family Fund

Sending a shockwave through the vast network of friends and family that the Wasden’s have cultivated, Bruce tragically ended his life the night after Thanksgiving.

We know how deeply his loss is felt, because we feel it too. Our hearts are broken, and in sharing this loss with so many friends, the biggest question has been “how can we help?”

As you can imagine, the thought of re-entering the home where Bruce was found is unimaginable. There are great crews of friends helping clean up the home, and trying to lessen the pain for Laura, Braedyn, Parker, Tailyn and Emmaline. At this point, the best way to contribute is to help us raise some money for Laura to move her family into a new home. Laura will be working on her single income to support her sweet kiddos, and making this transition will prove to be difficult, expensive, painful, and arduous.

Bruce and Laura always had a place for anyone, both in their home and heart. Nobody was ever unwelcome, and they were the type of friends who were FAMILY to anyone who needed it. Friendship, loyalty, a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, a couch or bed to rest a weary head, a strong meal to feed the hungry and/or just gather by to share in love, laughter and light.

Today, I ask that we return the favor to our dear friend Laura, and help her pick up the pieces of her broken heart, and those of her children’s.

Updates on funeral arrangements, and the family will be posted here as well, please spread the word, and let’s give back to the Wasden’s what they have always given to all, our helping hands, a rally of troops in their corner, and love.

Another thing that would be greatly appreciated would be a shower of sympathy cards for the kiddos, so they know how much they are loved! I will post an address here tomorrow where they can be received.
