Hi, my name is Katie and in June I will be taking on the Wasdale Horseshoe, known as the toughest horseshoe route in the Lake District. Covering 34km with over 9000ft of climbing, I will be attempting to complete it in under 12 hours.

I am doing this in memory of my wonderful Granny, who we sadly lost just over a year ago to Alzheimer’s and Myasthenia Gravis.

I will be fundraising for Myaware, the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by Myasthenia – a chronic autoimmune condition that causes muscle weakness and currently has no cure. Myaware provides vital support to patients and families, raises awareness of this often misunderstood condition as well as funding research into better treatments.
